Grant Director: Thriving Churches Initiative “The Journey Project”
NM Conference of Churches
3-5 years Temporary Position
Salary $54,600 per year with 5% COL raise each year, Fringe Benefits at 25% of salary added to salary per year.
Part-time: 25-30 hours per week
The Grant Director of The Journey Project will direct the Strengthening the Church Initiative for NM Conference of Churches until the end of the grant period 2027 or for extended period as approved by NMCC Board and the Lilly Endowment.
Educational And Job Requirements
· MDiv or post college/seminary degree
· 3-5 years’ experience working in a local church or parish
· Ordination or Commission from Judicatory or Denomination represented on the NMCC Board (For members see website: www.NMChurches.org
· 3-5 years’ experience supervising staff
· Able to travel across the state to promote Strengthening the Church Initiative
· Availability to speak to churches and clergy groups about the Initiative
· 3-5 years’ experience directing a project or grant
· Clear communication skills in handling reports due to Lilly Endowment and NMCC
· Able to manage budget as submitted to Lilly Endowment at Grant Submission
· Able to work well with Board of Directors
· Attend meetings of Grant Oversight Committee, NMCC Board, Lilly Endowment meetings
The Journey Project Grant Period runs from 2023-2027 unless extended with permission of Lilly Endowment personnel. Grant budget is $1,065,608.00.
